The go-to-market strategy sprint

A go-to-market plan for your next product, platform or market, built with your team in three months.

Five stages, a fixed price and named deliverables at every stage. The sprint builds the strategy. Your team runs it.

3 months · 5 stages · £30,000 · €35,000 · $40,000 fixed · Half on signing, half when the strategy is delivered

The sprint fits if you're launching something new and nobody in the building has done it before.

  • You are a founder-led B2B technology company at roughly 20 to 50 million in revenue.
  • You are putting a platform in your clients' hands, bringing a new product to market beyond your core, or entering a new market.
  • You grew through account managers, long client relationships and a strong product. There is no product marketing, sales enablement or go-to-market function in seat.
  • Growth is slowing as you move beyond the core, or a new commercial leader has arrived and needs a plan.
  • Someone on your leadership team will own it. More on that below.

It does not fit if you want any of these.

  • A guarantee of pipeline or revenue. Nobody honest can give you one.
  • Campaigns running next week. Start with fractional support instead.
  • A website or an agency managed. I build the strategy, not the deployment.
  • A second opinion for a go-to-market leader already in seat. Talk to me about fractional support, or don't; the sprint is built for the company that has nobody in that chair.

The route

Five stages, and each one ends with something you can hold.

  1. Discover

I interview your people across leadership, sales, account management, marketing, product, technology, delivery and operations. Short surveys fill the gaps. I listen for what is working, what is not, and where the story breaks between teams.

A discovery readout: my hypotheses on what is working, what is not, where to focus and where to stop.

  2. Define

We work out where you stand against competitors, the wider market and the real alternatives, including doing nothing and building it yourselves. We decide what you offer, and to whom.

Positioning against competitors and alternatives. An offer stack: what you sell, in what order, to whom. A messaging framework in your buyer's words. A sales narrative, ready to become a full sales deck.

  3. Strategy

We choose where to play and how to arrive.

The go-to-market blueprint: channel mix, geographic targeting, segment and client-type targeting, and launch cadence, whether soft, phased or big bang. The strategy is delivered here.

  4. Get Set

    Built with you

I build the first pieces with you, so the plan does not sit in a folder.

Sales decks cut from the one narrative, for new business and for cross-sell by your account managers. The marketing plan. A sales process design with the key tools it needs. One tightly targeted launch campaign. Everything else the blueprint needs, written up so your team or a partner can build it.

  5. Grow

    Designed, then handed over

I design how you will learn from the market once you are in it. Your team runs it.

A measurement and feedback design covering campaign metrics, win and loss reviews, competitive intelligence, quarterly business reviews, and how all of it feeds your product roadmap.

What the sprint does, and what it does not.

The sprint develops your go-to-market strategy. It does not deploy it. Get Set is built with you. Grow is a design your team runs. I will not promise pipeline or revenue. I will give you a plan your people believe in and the first tools to start. If you want help running it, I can stay on part-time as fractional go-to-market and product marketing leadership.

About fractional support

£30,000, fixed, for three months.

€35,000 or $40,000. Half when we sign, half when the strategy is delivered. There are no day-rate surprises inside the sprint.

Questions about the sprint.

What is the go-to-market strategy sprint?

A three-month, fixed-price engagement in which I build the go-to-market strategy for your next product, platform or market with your leadership, sales, account management, marketing and product teams. It runs through five stages: Discover, Define, Strategy, Get Set and Grow. You finish with positioning, a sales narrative, a launch blueprint, your first sales decks and one launch campaign.

How much does the sprint cost and how long does it take?

£30,000, €35,000 or $40,000, fixed. About three months. Half on signing, half when the strategy is delivered, roughly two-thirds of the way through. There are no day-rate extras inside the sprint. If you want senior help running the plan afterwards, fractional support is priced separately, shaped to the scope.

What exactly is in scope, and what is not?

In scope: Discover interviews and a readout; positioning, offer stack, messaging and sales narrative; the launch blueprint of channels, markets, segments and cadence; and in Get Set the first sales decks, marketing plan, sales process and one launch campaign, built with you. Not in scope: running the launch, building your website or managing an agency.

Does the sprint include sales enablement?

Yes, the first layer of it. One sales narrative becomes a set of decks: new business, cross-sell for account managers, and partner or investor versions where you need them. I design the sales process and specify the key tools. Your sellers leave with one story and the materials to tell it, written in your buyer's words.

Do you run the launch, or plan it?

The sprint develops the strategy and builds the first pieces with you: sales decks, the marketing plan, the sales process and one launch campaign. Your team runs the launch. If you want senior help running it, I can stay on one or two days a week as fractional go-to-market and product marketing leadership.

Will this guarantee pipeline or revenue?

No, and anyone who promises that has not met your market yet. What I can promise is a focused plan your leadership team has agreed, one story every seller tells, and the first materials to take it to market. The fixed price and named deliverables mean you know what you are buying before you sign.

We have one marketer. Can a small team act on the output?

That is why Get Set builds real materials with you, not slides for a drawer: the decks, the marketing plan, the sales process and one campaign ready to run. Everything else the blueprint needs is written up so your team or a partner can build it. The plan is sized to the people you have.

What do you need from us?

One sponsor on the leadership team who owns the sprint, clears diaries for interviews and makes the call when teams disagree. Time with your people in Discover across leadership, sales, account management, marketing, product, technology, delivery and operations. And someone to own the plan when the sprint ends. Without a sponsor it stays a document.

All the questions, answered.

Tell me what you're launching. I'll tell you if the sprint fits.

If it doesn't, I'll tell you what would.
